Olympic Lake Placid 1980

TEAM USE Gold Medal winning players sweatsuit jacket, it’s a Levi jacket that is soft material, velvet like, everything is sewn on, they wore these when receiving there gold medal, at the ceremony in 1980 at Lake Placid. This item was given to another USA athlete from one of the players. It’s in great shape, shows minimal washings and matches the pictures from the ceremony. Byron’s LOA $10,000

The team lined up to receive their gold medals and listened proudly as the National Anthem blared from the loudspeakers. The stand was only large enough to hold the captain of each team, but after the anthem, the team captain leader Mike Eruzione signaled for the rest of the team to join him on the podium – today the podiums are big enough to accommodate the whole team, and quite rightly so. We are proud to be able to offer an official Team USA training jacket worn for the Gold Medal presentation ceremony at the 1980 Winter Olympic Games held in Lake Placid, New York. The top, in blue and white velour, is made by Levi Strauss & Co. in size Large with their tagging in the neck reading “Made Exclusively for the 1980 USA Olympic Team”. Elastic knit can be found at the cuffs and waste and all of the zippers function properly. Two small crests sewn on the right side read “Levi’s” and “Ice Hockey” and the opposite breast displays an intricately embroidered USA 1980 Olympic Team Crest. Flipping the jacket over, we note the USA lettering on the back in white tackle twill with red stitch out lining.
