Lets talk about trading, more specifically trading with me or another dealer. One thing you guys need to remember is there are thousands of you guys, and a few of us. More specifically lets talk about you wanting to trade with me.
Trading is a great way of turning inventory over into new items that I want to SELL, that is why I don’t trade for items new to my list. I just made a deal in the hopes of getting CASH. Because cash is what I buy food with and pay the mortgage with, not JERSEYS.
Now remember above, there are thousands of you guys. I can’t trade with everyone, so don’t let it hurt your feelings if I pass on a trade. I’m not doing it for any other reason other than CASH. I hopefully have someone interested in it, or has shown interest in it. SO , don’t let it bother you if I say I can’t, its nothing personal trust me.
Trade amongst yourself, you guys are great at that. But if a dealer turns you down on a trade, remember it’s a business to us and we sell jerseys first and foremost.
Also if you have something with me on consignment trying to sell for you I don’t trade you for that jersey, because I am already trying to sell it and have not at that point.
Speaking about consignment jerseys, if you , on your own, make a deal for something I have, I will need my 10%, because there is a great chance that the person saw the jersey on my list. I also have been trying to sell it for you and have time and effort I spent on your behalf. Now, if you want you jersey back, and then move it, I will find out, and that will not be good for you. I hate posting this, but if I don’t say it now , when it happens you can’t say I didn’t warn you. I know the nature of collectors, I love you guys, but I know how you evil minds work.
So, never not offer me a trade on something, give me the chance to say no, but just know that sometimes its tuff for me to say no, but I have to.
